We used Oakland's storage facility over last summer holidays for the contents of my son's flat and the system worked very well. The storage unit arrived promptly, parked as close as possible to the flat and we filled it with his things. We had two hours to fill it which was fine and it all then went off to be stored until the new academic year began. I phoned as soon as we knew where the next year's flat was going to be and arranged a time to get the things back. Again this worked smoothly and everything was in good order when we got it back. Much better than trying to take it all home and then bring it back again especially as home is in Scotland! I would have no hesitation in recommending the service this company provides. We had to move out of our house within 3 days or lose the sale. I contacted Simon and arranged to meet him with our items for storage on the evening before we had to move out at the site. We arrived a lot later than anticipated, but Simon could not have been more helpful. We had an outside storage container so we could access our container whenever we needed to…. The prices are very competitive and we used the facility for 5 months.

My first contact with Oakland's was a good start, helpful , clear, available, and well priced. We used the external containers, and the deliver to home storage box system (Mobile Self Storage). This is particularly easy to use, a secure, clean box arrives on a special trailer, you load it, it goes safely away. On return, helpful and realistic adjustments to avoid awkward weather , and impeccable on time delivery.
Highly recommended, a good system, well managed, with great friendly staff. Tell your friends, this is a little gem, and a credit to Monmouth.
